Upcoming Events & Announcements

A while back I was asked about answering interview questions about my project The Morae River for Uppercase Magazine. I agreed and to my surprise the Uppercase team was the Renegade Craft Fair, this last weekend in San Francisco. I was able to meet the team and see the magazines! It’s an excellent publication, if I can say so myself. It’s filled with inspiring, beautiful and quirky things and so I was honored (and completely surprised) that they’d want to have an article about my work. It all came together great!

Anyway, head down to your local magazine shop or visit Uppercase online and check out my interview in issue 10! The 10th issue had two covers – two adorable dogs in bow-ties! I suggest picking one up!

Special thanks to the team at Uppercase and Super Special thanks to Glen Dresser for contacting me about the interview and asking excellent questions! :)

I was recently asked to be in a show about animal art – work inspired by the other beings that share our planet. I will have three pieces on display from The Morae River, including a new species. This is going to be a really great show full of awesome work by some really talented artists. The opening is October 1st at 6 PM and will be up until the 30th. Anyway, if you’re in the area, you should come out, see some art and taste some wine! Hope to see you there!

A friend and fellow artist, Darryl Elliot, was kind enough to feature the Morae River in his blog the other day. Be sure to look around his blog – he posts very insightful process and thoughts, as well as his own artwork and inspirations he finds in other artist’s work. Read his post: Here. Thank you Darryl!

A late Happy New year to everyone! Two quick announcements:

The Morae River was featured on Drawn yesterday! Check it out here –> http://www.drawn.ca

Also, The Morae River will be moving to an actual website soon. I’ve begun work on the layouts and will be passing it to my builder in the coming weeks. The blog will stay up and continue to work as a news portal as well as a place for me to open up my process a bit more.

Don’t forget, you can also subscribe to receive notifications about new posts in your email.

Hope you’ve all had a lovely New Year. Thanks!
